We worked on various measuring skills today.
We measured wood in inches and centimeters, and measured how many scoops it takes to raise the water level to 2,4,6 and 8 cups.
We counted in “one fourths” and solved some problems involving fractions.
We learned how to play the stacking review game. There are 10 cards with fractions on one side, and percents on the other. The cards are placed percent side up. One card is flipped to show the fraction. The goal is to find the percent that matches, and flip it onto the pile to reveal a new fraction. The game continues until all cards are on the stack. The card on the top should show a fraction that matches the percent on the card on the bottom.
